Safe As Houses at The Care Show 2019

In October we attended The Care Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be able to exhibit Safe as Houses at the biggest annual, care-focused event in the UK.

Head of Care Development at Safe as Houses, Stuart Nicoll, felt that it was an excellent way to strengthen our position within the sector going forward:

“I found it great to network with likeminded individuals across multi disciplines who all share a common purpose: to enrich the lives of those more vulnerable members of society.”

"It was fantastic to build on existing relationships, as well as connect with new people/organisations.

We already have dates in the diary scheduled in, which will hopefully lead to collaborations that will benefit society.”

Another member of the team who attended the event was Chloe Opuama, our Tech in Care Research Executive:

“As a company, we have been delighted to connect and share the contributions we make to the sector.”

For Chloe, one of the biggest things taken away from the event was a focus on the future improvements that can be made for the industry.

“The Care Show 2019 presented a fantastic opportunity to meet and learn from a diverse range of people throughout the care sector, with all of us unified to bring innovation and positive transformation to social care.”

“We have been delighted to connect and share the contributions we make to the sector.”

Our team were certainly kept busy across both days of the show, which is the largest care event in the UK. Events included the annual UKHCA Conference, several keynote speeches and talks, workshops, networking receptions and, the show floor exhibition. The Safe as Houses stand was always busy and it was lovely to meet and speak to so many people working in care and beyond about the work that we do. As our Business Development Manager, Nick Scott, puts it:

“It was very busy but enjoyable as well as beneficial to talk to so many people from the care sector and explore how we can help each other progress to a shared end goal.”

We’d like to extend out thanks to everyone who came along to our stand on the show floor this year. It was a fantastic event and we hope to be back again next year!
